A vast plan of sustainable development is deployed within the company.
On the environmental level:
- An energy component focuses on the reduction of consumption and the search for clean energies, both in buildings and during travel. It is planned to install photovoltaic panels that will capture the renewable energy of the sun and turn it into electricity. Attention is also focused on mobility policy, both in the choice of fuels and in the organization of transport itself.
- A second component focuses on waste; these are sorted and their quantity is reduced.
- And then water, so precious to life, is obviously not forgotten. Tilman plans to recover and use rainwater, including in the washroom and for cleaning.
Besides environmental aspects, well-being is also important.
- That of consumers is paramount. The business of Tilman is based on the constant search for this well-being by the nature of its products and the quality of its preparations.
- The well-being of the staff is also at the center of the concerns. The “sustainable development” plan includes various measures along these lines, including the setting up of discussion groups.
- And then, because bad health sometimes prevents any economic development, Tilman supports the Damien Action. Helping and caring for lepers and tuberculosis allows them to start working again and thus improve their standard of living. This money earned by working can enable them to send their children to school; in other words, to offer a future to their children.
Of course, this plan is intended to evolve, Tilman will continue his efforts. But the key is to look to tomorrow!
